- “Jewel Red” is one of the four new additions to Bobbi Brown’s red lipstick range. (The other new reds include “Vixen Red”, “Vintage Red” and “Hollywood Red”)
- As with the Lip Color range, lipsticks are creamy, lightweight with a soft matte finish, and infused with Vitamines C/E and Beeswax to moisturise lips.
- This shade is best paired with Bobbi Brown’s Lip Pencil in ‘Sangria’.
- Verdict: Some people look great with wine shades day to day. But since I have fair yellow skin, I might save this shade for winter, or use it to custom-blend into other shades.
For some reason, I found ‘Jewel Red’ so much easier to swatch than any other red lipsticks. Perhaps it’s because the shade was so pigmented yet lightweight that the full finish could be achieved in just seconds.

I used Bobbi Brown’s Lip Pencil in ‘Sangria’ to define the lip edges only.
