Illamasqua lipsticks come in both matte and glossy textures, and are intensely pigmented yet glides on smoothly.
“Box” is described as a deep scarlet red with a matte finish.
Renowned for its lightweight texture, yet incredible long lasting staying power.
If you have dry lips, prep your lips first with a hydrating (but not slippery) lip balm your lips looking like creased paper.
Verdict: I’m impressed that it’s so pigmented you can even apply it without liner, as long as you have a lip brush or stiff angled brush. Pigmented reds need a practice and patience, but are so worth it when you get it right~

I only used Elizabeth Arden’s Advanced Lip Fix Cream as a base without lip balm to retain the matte finish for the swatch.

It’s a rich blue-red but my skin tone make theshade look warmer.

I used Bobbi Brown’s Lip Pencil in ‘Red’ to line the edges of the lips in the swatch.
