NEW CID COSMETICS i-Pout Lipstick – Pink Bliss & Scarlet

Innovative lipstick design, with built-in light (activated with a button on the bottom) and mirror so you can touch up easily in dim lighting & no need to carry an extra mirror.
Thumbs up for being different with “futuristic” packaging, however for $33 AUD I expect further design improvement, as it is a far cry from other similarly priced (or cheaper) lipsticks.
Coverage is buildable – intense and creamy with direct application & soft creamy glisten when applied on lip balm.
I’m impressed at how moisturising it is, and even without lip balm, the Vitamin E-enriched formula is long lasting and stays reasonably well in air conditioning.
Verdict: Thumbs up for the formula & highly recommend Scarlet as an easy to wear red. As for packaging – I like the concept but it needs to be improved.

Pink Bliss is a dusty rose on my lips.

Scarlet is a gorgeous true red that can be worn sheer or intense.

I applied both lip swatches on top of Clarins Extra Firming Lip & Contour Balm. Direct application makes the shades more intense & texture more creamy.

Scarlett

Check out Stef’s swatch of the same shade – she’s applied it with more intensity for a gorgeous intense red.
