GIVEAWAY: Revlon Age Defying Makeover & $250 Night Out
Yesterday I was invited to take part in an Revlon Age Defying Makeover, to experience their latest Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup out this month. The makeover was followed by a complimentary $250 expenses paid night out of my choice, so I could experience the foundation over several hours & see if it added a special touch to the night out.
If you like the sound of this, read on to find out how you can win the same experience!
Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage Cream Makeup
- A cream foundation in a pump with skincare ingredients that prevent damage to the DNA of skin cells to combat signs of aging.
- Key ingredients: Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, West Indian Cherry Extract, humectants, SPF 20
- Medium to High coverage, with the same photogenic properties of Revlon Photo Ready foundation
- Long lasting dewy finish, keeps skin elastic and plump & the skincare ingredients feel really comforting on dry skin.
- 7 shades available in Australia: Ivory, Bare Buff, Tender Beige, Soft Beige, Medium Beige, Spice Beige, Honey Beige
My Revlon Experience
- The Foundation: My shade was “Tender Beige”, a neutral beige that is slightly darker than my usual shade but appropriate for
night time with flash photography. Believe it or not, the picture on the right was achieved with only ONE PUMP. As it was super dewy, I powdered the T-Zone area only, so the dewy finish on my cheeks is what you get with direct application. Thumbs up for Revlon’s silicone based Smoothing Primer which concealed all lines and pores effortlessly.
- The Makeover: It was clear that the Revlon makeup artist was instructed not to spend much time other than a quick touch up here and there. I left the counter with tadpoles for eyebrows, peach lipstick instead of coral (even though I specifically asked for it). Basically don’t expect too much from the rest of the makeover & factor in some time to go home & add your own finishing touches.
- The Night Out: I had a choice of watching Love Never Dies, Rock of Ages or a dinner at Bistro Guillaume. I picked Bistro Guillaume as my husband & I love our food. Think modern French that’s uncomplicated, light, fresh and a dessert menu to DIE for. Highlight was the Steak Frites (juiciest steak we ever had in our life), fruit sorbet (a trio of cranberry, pear & coconut), generous serving of my favourite lemon tart & Marco Polo tea which has got us hooked & determined to find a stockist soon.
Verdict
The foundation was surprisingly photogenic with only one pump. Usually I need 2 thin layers of my Shu Uemura cream foundation to achieve this effect. Shade wise, I am happy with Tender Beige as a night time or photography shade, although in person it is a tad beige-ier than my actual skin tone. 7 hours later, it stayed on really well despite its dewiness. Since I’ll be photographed a lot in the next few months (with ABBW & MBBE and all) I’m definitely buying this foundation as it’s more neutral than my yellow toned Shu Uemura foundation.

I’ve had good experiences with revlon foundations (except the photoReady one put out last year) so can’t wait till I get an opportunity to try this one out when I go to Priceline to pick one up – oh wait, I could enter to win one can’t I? hmmm better put in any entry then.
Thanks for the entry! Good luck with the giveaway!! The foundation is awesome.
I’m excited by this multi-function skincare and makeup, with vitamin B3, E, Cherry Extract, and SPF 20 to protect skin cells’ DNA from damage by harmful environmental aggressors. Flawless youthful skin, here I come.
