Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner vs. K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner
This is a short comparison review of two smudge-proof liquid eyeliners that I love. However one of them lived a fleeting life in my “Holy Grail” hall of fame, and was out throned by an unsuspecting contendant. Don’t get me wrong – both are still very good, but I love one of these just a whole lot more.
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
Pros
- Adorable girly pink & black polka dot packaging
- Fine felt tip
- Long lasting & smudgeproof
- Under $20 AUD
Cons
- After about 2 months of use, the felt tip begins to fray & although there’s plenty of ink left, it becomes increasingly difficult to draw a sharp flick
- The ink moves a little when wet, as seen in the swatch comparison further below
Even when both are brand new, K-Palette is much sharper
K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner
Pros
- Ultra sharp felt tip (K Palette also has an even thinner felt tip if you want pencil thin lines)
- Long lasting & smudgeproof
- Under $20 AUD
- Even after 3 months of use, the felt tip is still sharp (see pictures below)
- On direct application, the wet ink stays put better than Dolly Wink (see swatch comparison below)
Cons
- Plain packaging, on the verge of boring
- 2 months old vs. Brand New K-Palette liners. Need I say more?
K-Palette ink stays put better than Dolly Wink
It’s not hard to see why K-Palette is a winner on all aspects (maybe except for packaging). If you already own a Dolly Wink liner, make it your last one & try K-Palette next time. For those that still want to give Dolly Wink ago, I have pasted some links below where you can find these online.

I’m a Dollywink fan but have not tried K-Palette….I don’t really face the fraying issue with my Dollywink liquid liner though….I don’t use it daily so could be why…
Winged eyeliner is my signature look, so I am really picky about the precision tip! That said Dolly Wink is still pretty good all rounder.
Awesome comparison. I’ve been wondering how they compare up to each other as well. I’ve tried Dollywink but not K-Palette!
Dollywink is lovely but K-Palette is just that little bit better!! They really need to do something about the boring packaging though.
Now I’m in the middle of beauty shopping at sasa taking advantage of the free shipping offer, so I wanted to buy the dolly wink eyeliner. I’m currently using K-palette liquid eyeliner, so I looked for a review, and here I am. Very good post on the comparisons between these eyeliners. Now I know that K-Palette is better but I also like the cute packaging of dolly wink. I’m torn between quality or cuteness hahaha
I’ve been using K-palette all these years and it’s been an awesome eyeliner. Friends have been telling me about Dolly Wink and after some shopping I’ve finally found your review and decided that I would stick with K-palette.
My previous pen was a limited edition metallic-pewter colored casing and I’ve been searching online for it to no avail. So I’m left with the plain black stick, which is a downer. Still, the best liner out there since forever. You don’t know how many types/brands I tried before I found this. I rmbr weeping tears of joy with it on and it didn’t even smudge!
The metallic pewter casing sounds luxe!! I only have the pink LE one which is just ok.. I want to try the K-Palette liquid eyebrow pen too!!
