Brand: Natio
Range: Smoothie Lip Colour Crayons
Shade: Peony, Plum, Lollipop, Petal, Poppy
Swatched by yours truly: Yishan

  • Natio’s new Smoothie Lip Colour Crayons deliver a quick slick of sheer popsicle tinted colours, in a smooth moisturising formula that contains jojoba seed oil and shea butter.
  • Available in range of 8 shades: Peony (cool pink), Tea Rose (warm pink), Hazel (warm nude), Holly (scarlet), Plum (warm plum), Lollipop (candy pink), Petal (rose pink), Poppy (Warm red).
  • Lips are left feeling moisturised with a sheen, and the punchier colours (eg. Lollipop) do leaves lips with a stain afterwards.
  • In terms of packaging, the lids don’t stay on as securely as I’d like them to be, however I do like they are wind-up crayons so it doesn’t require any sharpening.
  • Verdict: Lollipop is my favourite as it’s more of a sheer pink fuchsia and brightens up my complexion.  Peony surprisingly turned out to be a pale pink despite the packaging looking like a MLBB shade.  Plum is a sheer take on the berry/wine lip trend, and Petal & Poppy will appeal to those that like a natural lip.  Natio is known for their range of wearable shades, and their Smoothie Lip Colour Crayon are a great choice if you like a sheer wearable colour that only takes seconds to slick on.

Brand: Natio
Range: Rich Colour Creme Gloss – Alive Happy
Shades: Happy, Alive
Swatched by yours truly: Yishan

  • Rich Colour Creme Gloss is Natio’s newest addition to their lip gloss range, available in 5 shades – Serene (nude pink), Calm (mauve pink), Alive (cherry red), Happy (vibrant rose) and Passion (deep berry red).
  • Moisturising and high in shine, the formula is packed with natural emollients that makes the gloss blend seamlessly into lips, creating a sculpted finish with no trace of lip lines.
  • I got to try Happy (a shimmery peony pink) and Alive (a vibrant cherry red).  The pigments in both shades are boldest at initial application, but the hues become softened once the gloss settles and absorbs into lips.
  • Has a delicate sweet scent that’s noticeable only when applying with the doe wand applicator. No discernible taste, much like regular lipgloss.
  • Non-sticky but ever-so-slightly tacky.
  • Verdict: Two thumbs up for such an affordable gloss delivering on par to those doubly priced.   Ticks against all the properties I look for in a lipgloss – line smoothing, sculpting, pigment, subtle taste and on-trend shades.  Highly recommended & I’m crossing my fingers that Natio will add coral to their colour range in the near future.

If this is still too bold in your books, rest assured that once the gloss settles into lips, the hues become softened and less intense over time.

NATIO Velvet Touch Lip Colour – Rosy Bloom

Brand: Natio
Range: Velvet Touch Lip Colour
Shade: Rosy Bloom
Swatched by yours truly: akisa

  • Creamy, moisturising lipstick that’s highly pigmented with full coverage in just two sweeps.
  • Formulated with Shea Butter, Carrot Oil and Vitamin E
  • Glides smoothly, hugging the lips snugly creating an even & densely pigmented finish.
  • Available in 2 shades – Vintage Rose & Rosy Bloom.  Rosy Bloom is the darker of the two, and is a deep rose brown great for pigmented lips or warmer skin tones.
  • Verdict: Highly impressed by how comfortable this is to wear & how pigmented and smooth it applies without needing much blending.  Unlike many mid-priced creamy lipsticks out there, this doesn’t leave a “cakey mask” on lips especially if you apply over a lip balm & apply a moderate amount.  Except for the taste, the texture of this lipstick feels expensive.  Two thumbs up!

Applied over a thin layer of Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm.

  • A liquid lipstick that moisturises lips with the coverage of a lipstick, Colour Last Créme Lipsticks givesa a glossy sheen that creates the appearance of a fuller pout.
  • Available in 2 shades – Sheer Rose & Antique RoseAntique Rose is the darker of the two & is a deep rose shade with a hint of brown & fine gold shimmers.
  • Long lasting in both pigment and moisture.
  • Watermelon scented.
  • Verdict: Very impressed by how pigmented this liquid lipstick is & how flattering it looks.  It looks expensive & feels expensive – without looking at the packaging I would never have guessed it was Natio. I love this more than yesterday’s swatch of the Velvet Touch Lip Colour in Rosy Bloom, purely because it is just as pigmented but softer in hue with a sheen that give lips a youthful finish. Highly recommend it!

Brand: Natio
Range: Moisturising Lip Balm SPF 30+
Swatched by yours truly: akisa

  • A lip conditioning balm with SPF 30+ protection to moisturise and protect lips.
  • Moisturising & softens lips, with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to condition the skin.
  • Claims to be water resistant for up to 4 hours! Not that I can tell.
  • No taste at all – versatile for everyone
  • Verdict: Two thumbs up for being highly moisturising, high in SPF and less than 5 bucks! Compared to Auscreen Lip Balm SPF 30, this gives less of a glossy sheen.  But the upside is that this is available for individual purchase, whereas Auscreen comes in a mini pack.
