Lip balm pots worth dipping into

Like many people who pack away their summer clothes in zip bags & bring out their winter wardrobe, the other day I put away my stick-balms to hibernate and dug out my lip balm pots.

My perspective on lip balms in pot packaging has changed in the last month partly because my lips need something heavier duty in winter, and I’ve  re-discovered awesome products I’ve been missing out purely because I was deterred by the pot packaging.

To get the best results out of lip balm pots, use a cotton tip to scoop out a generous dollop, applying it religiously every morning, daytime (if I’m at home), and evenings.  I leave the pots at my bedside table with cotton tips within reach to make it easier for me to stick to this new routine daily.

And my lips have never cracked a day since. (Flakiness, however is another story that deserves its own dedicate post)

Here are my favourite lip balm pots worth dipping into, especially if stick balms aren’t cutting it for you this winter.

Best for the mornings / outdoors

Best for indoors / night time

What are your favourite lip balm pots? Do you also switch lip balms in winter?

I love the blistex pot lip balm, even though its a difficult one to use (the pot is deep but small). I like the cotton tip idea too!

  4. Can I just say that I am c-r-a-z-y about Bobbi Brown’s lip balm? It’s my HG product for when my lips are super-parched, and I think you’re the first (other) person I’ve seen mention it! Really underrated, if you ask me ;o)

Anything by Badger works wonders in winter…the olive oil formula is wonderfully nourishing and moisturizing. Do you get this brand in Oz?

  6. Beauty Box says:

The one I have is for after-sun care 🙂 It smells of lavender too…Really soothing…

My sister bought the Korres guava recently, I tried it on one night before bed and the next morning it had dissapeared! I even forgot that I had put it on lol, I don’t know but Korres products don’t work for me for some reason (and it’s a brand from my country, too! -.-)

However, your tip about applying such lip balms with a cotton bud/q-tip is great! It’s much easier to take out a good amount and I even enjoyed doing it ! :))) I think lip balm in pots are all the rage right now lol. 🙂

Hi Yishan, do you think you can do something like this for stick lip balms? I would really like to know which ones you think are the most moisturising, etc etc. Thanks! 🙂
