• Following the success of Kate Moss’s debut lipstick collection, 6 new shades of Lasting Finish Lipstick have been added to the range that’s lighter and fresher than the original collection.
• The long-lasting creamy colour is infused with light-reflecting black diamond, adding depth and intensity to the pigmented finish.
• Kate says, “Whilst I’ll always have my favourite timeless shades, I love to update my lipstick to reflect the new season’s style. I wanted to play with fresh and daring colour to create a look that’s fun and feminine but with an edge.”
• In contrast to the debut shade range, the new collection features 4 neutral shades out of the 6.  I’m particularly pleased to see the addition of #20 and #22 to the shade range, as fuchsia and classic red were noticeably missing from the last collection.
• The grip in the creamy texture hugs lips & lines very snugly, so be sure to wear over a smoothing and moisturising lip balm for best results.
• The chic, matte black packaging with Kate’s signature & embossed Rimmel logo is one of the best packaged drugstore lipsticks I’ve seen to date.
• Verdict:  Fuchsia and red were among the shades that swatched the smoothest, but the nudes (in particular #03 and #26) needed extra time to smooth out streaks. That said, the pigment and coverage is impressive for its price point & I also love the fact that you don’t need any lip liner for a flawless finish.

• Packaged in a shade-matched wind-up crayon pencil, Chubby Sticks are balm-like in formula that provide a tint of colour that’s surprisingly buildable in coverage.
• Contains a blend of butters (shea butter, mango seed butter & jojoba seed oil), oils and antioxidants to protects lips and provides long lasting moisture even hours later.
• Available in 8 shades ranging from nudes, pinks and melons, Graped-up looks like a raisiny rhubarby shade on me.
• Allergy & dermatologist tested.  100% fragrance free.   
• Verdict: These are the “grown up” / work friendly version of all the jumbo lip pencils I’ve swatched to date (eg. Australis, Eyeko). Whilst they aren’t as glossy as Australis Show Stopper Gloss Sticks, Chubby Sticks are packed with moisture and provide long lasting moisture that won’t leave your lips feeling parched in between touch ups.  Best of all, it doesn’t need any sharpening.

• Burts Bee’s new shea butter lip balms is 100% natural and gives a hint of colour with a soft glossy moisturised finish.
• Available in 6 shades – Hibiscus, Honeysuckle, Tiger Lily, Pink Blossom, Red Dahlia and Rose.
• The shade Hibiscus is this year’s official shade for Liptember, to raise awareness of women’s health issues and fund research.  Money raised will go towards the Centre for Women’s Mental Health, which provides access to crisis support, suicide prevention and mental health support.

• Verdict: Hibiscus is a really neutral shade that’s in between milk-tea and rhubarb, and the butter texture is simply delightful to wear. Highly moisturising, smoothing &  one of my top recommended stick lip balms. Give it a try & support a good cause at the same time!

Range: Tinted Lip & Cheek Balm SPF30+
Shade: Lip Pink + 1

• Say goodbye to zinc war paint & say hello to this lip & cheek tint that offers SPF30+ protection
• The only active ingredient is Zinc Oxide, a mineral UV filter which provides physical sun protection from UVA and UVB.
• Lip Pink +1 is described as “the perfect pink for every skin tone” which looks more like rhubarb shade to me.
• This chubby stick is about 2.5 cm wide & 6.5 cm tall, like a really short glue stick.
• On Lips: A matte waxy finish that gives lips a subtle rhubarb tint.
• On Cheeks: The waxy texture makes it longer lasting than cream blushes during summer. Easy to apply – 2 swipes on each cheek, blend for 2 seconds & you’re done.  The shade is very similar to Becca Beach Tint in “Watermelon“.
• Verdict: Most SPF lip balms apply too thinly or melt easily due to liquid texture, but this one stays put well.  Although rhubarb doesn’t sound like the world’s most exciting shade, I find it goes really well with bare-faced summer looks & the shade is growing on me.

• A Vitamin C & antioxidant rich lipgloss in 10 shades.
• Non-sticky, sheer, moisturising and restores lips to its optimal condition. The formula is halfway between a lip balm and gloss.
• I tried to request a pink/coral shade but instead I received Rhubarbie, which is a tawny neutral shade with shimmers, great for earth-toned looks, or worn as a flesh-toned shade for warmer skin / lip tones.

• Verdict: Highly recommended for wearing at school/work, to ensure you get a daily dose of nutrition to your lips & gloss all in one!
